STATE OF IDAHO V. CHRIS PENTICO
The violation of our civil rights here in Boise.
An attack on one of us is an attack on ALL of us.
Your presence is requested on May 11th...please mark your calendars.
Here's the story:
March of 2008: Pentico tried to meet with Gov. Butch Otter to discuss an issue. Butch had previously agreed to meet with him, but had become unresponsive.
Two state troopers informed Pentico that he was NOT to enter the Capital Annex, to communicate to any legislators (even via email), to avoid the 3rd and 4th floor of the Borah Bldg and the Bldg of the Dept of Ed.
A few days later Pentico decided to file a complaint on the state troopers. When he was delivering the complaints to the appropriate departments the state trooper stopped and detained Pentico. He was given a citation for trespass on public property.
The judge has denied any Constitutional challenges in this case.
The prosecutor called 2 witnesses: The officer and the Governor's secretary (which leads us to believe these accusations are coming from someone in the Governor's office, not the Legislature as previously suspected).
Pentico was found guilty by a judge.
Pentico, having been found guilty by an Idaho judge, has still NOT been allowed to know who his accuser is!
Max fine 6 months in jail and/or $1000. Chris is without a criminal record (he only has a few traffic violations).
Plea bargain offered by the prosecutor is 2 years without contact with Legislators, Governor's office, Capitol Annex, and Department of Education, a mental health evaluation, 90 days in jail (85 day suspended jail time), 5 days community service, and court fees + fine ($700)
Current civil rights violations by the State of Idaho: 1st , 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 14th Amendment Rights
The look on Butch Otter's face when 200 patriots enter his office: PRICELESS!
Sentencing is May 11th at 11am
We need a strong turnout...bring your stuffed kangaroos and engineer hats!
